Venom: The Last Dance's New Trailer Makes Venom's Death Look Way More Likely
While Sony Pictures has been keeping Venom: The Last Dance story details under wrap for the most part, the final trailer strongly suggests that a popular Marvel theory is coming to fruition. Since the movie previews show the plot leaning into the angle of a grand finale for Hardy's Marvel character, Sony Pictures clearly wants the Venom trilogy to go out with a bang. If they truly want to have a massive conclusion to this saga, it wouldn't be shocking if Venom: The Last Dance is setting up the symbiote's death, as it appears to repeatedly tease the possibility.
The Venom: The Last Dance cast will officially include the character of Knull, who is arguably the biggest villain that the trilogy finale could set up against Eddie and the Venom symbiote. While time will tell who is actually playing Knull, having the symbiote face off with its creator and perhaps die in a heroic sacrifice in order to defeat Knull would be a shocking but powerful ending. The bigger twist would be if somehow Eddie and the symbiote together die while taking down Knull once and for all.
The other scenario is that the symbiote dies on its own, forcing Eddie to now have to go back to living by himself, bringing everything full circle for Venom: The Last Dance and where the character started in the first Venom movie. If Eddie survives, it also leaves the door open for him to return in future films in Sony's Spider-Man Universe, assuming there are any more films coming after Kraven the Hunter. But for now, the world can catch Hardy's final outing as the Marvel icon in Venom: The Last Dance.
